Located in beautiful Naperville, Illinois, Music Together of Naperville first opened its doors in 2000, teaching just two classes each week in downtown Naperville. Since then, our program has grown by leaps and bounds! Having served over 6,000 families, our talented staff of 8 teach classes 7 days a week (mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends) in 6 locations.
Families who've joined us over the years say they love the informal feel of the class. Described by one grandfather as feeling more like a wedding reception than a music class, Music Together offers families a truly unique educational experience.
At Music Together of Naperville, we have as much to offer musically as we do in locations and venues. Most of our classes are Mixed-Age, so that children from birth to 5 years attend class together. While we also offer Babies Classes and Senior/Tot Classes, mixed-age classes allow children to participate without age-specific expectations, and allow siblings (and families) to attend class together. Our locations serve the greater Naperville community:
-
Naperville Park District facilities serve our downtown Naperville families
-
Springbrook Community Church/Apollo Music near 75th St. and Rt. 59 serve South-central Naperville and Aurora families
-
Studio 59/Jr. Village Studios serve our far-south Naperville and Plainfield families
At Music Together we believe that music is as much a basic life skill as walking and talking, and that ALL children are musical! Music Together classes nurture the child's natural enthusiasm for music and movement as we sing, dance, chant, laugh, and play instruments in an informal setting that is as comfortable and fun for the adults as it is for the kids.
Central to the Music Together approach is that young children learn best through the powerful role model of parents/caregivers who are making music. We don't expect the kids to 'participate', rather we provide a musically-rich environment where children are free to explore and experiment as they journey through the process of music development.
Here families attend class together, where children are immersed in a playful, non-formal environment that supports ALL types of learning. Come see what makes our program so special!
